ABOUT
The charm of traveling to Kofu
Mitake Shosenkyo Gorge is a gorge located in the northern part of Kofu City. It is designated as a National Special Place of Scenic Beauty and is said to be "the most beautiful gorge in Japan." In autumn, the contrast between its white rock faces and the trees with their red and yellow autumn leaves creates a spectacular view.
This new tourist spot recreates the bustling atmosphere of Kofu's castle town during the Edo period. Besides shopping, eating, and experiencing local culture, the charm of Koedo Hanakoji lies in its historical streetscape, with rows of traditional townhouses, lanterns, and cobblestone alleys.
